A Fine February
Greetings!

Now that Lake City has gotten a good amount of snow, everyone has been out playing in it.  Conditions are great at the Lake City Ski Hill, on the snowmobiling/skiing/snowshoeing trails, at the Hinsdale Haute Route, and at the Lake City Ice Park.

February also brings a slew of winter events.  The Lake City Balloon
Festival is February 5, 6, and 7, with a balloon glow, hot air balloon rides and games, snowmobiling outings, good food, and more.

The annual Ice Fishing Derby will be held on February 20 out at Lake San Cristobal, with prizes for the biggest fish.

It's Pasta & Bingo Night on February 26 at the Lake City School.  This is a fundraiser for the students' Washington, DC trip.

And on February 27, we have a full day of fun.  In the morning, the Matt Milski Memorial Ski Race takes place at the Lake City Ski Hill, and in the afternoon and evening, the 3rd annual Ice Climbing Festival happens at the Lake City Ice Park.
