March brings us, oddly, the brightest, most glorious days of the year.  The days are getting longer, and the sun is higher in the sky.  The combination of those things with the snowpack creates one bluebird day after another.

It's time to combat that cabin fever and get outside.  You'll find a big variety of winter recreation fun in Lake City, including:
  • Snowmobiling.  Over 100 miles of uncrowded, groomed, A-rated trails.  Local rentals and guides are available.
  • Snowshoeing. One of the easiest winter sports to take up.  Local equipment rentals and guides are available.
  • Ice Climbing.  It's just you and the ice at the Lake City Ice Park.
  • Lake City Ski Hill.  Family skiing the way it should be. (conditions permitting)
  • Hinsdale Haute Route.  Four cozy yurts make up the highest hut system in Colorado--and access to some of the best backcountry skiing and boarding around.

We're remote, but easy to get to, and you won't pay resort prices here.  Plus, there's no waiting around in lines for anything!  Make some fresh tracks of your own.
