National Trails Day: Saturday!

Heil Ranch is a much loved trail north of Boulder but it's being loved to death. Years of foot, bike and hoof traffic combined with the harsh Colorado weather and the highly erodible soils has made the Wapiti trail at Heil in desperate need of TLC. And we aim to give it come. BMA and BCPOS will be hosting a National Trails Day event at the Wapiti and we are inviting YOU.
We will be re-routing especially over-used sections of tread to new, sweet sweet trail and then closing down the old trail. The goal is to create a more sustainable trail that will stand up to use and mitigate user conflict.
After the trail work is done, we will celebrate all of our good deeds with libations provided by Oskar Blues. So if you've been telling yourself that you need to do some trail work, this is it! This is the one! Sign up today!

Knobby Weekends Starting in June!
BMA's Knobby Weekend rides are kicking off this year with Picture Rock and a after ride BBQ in Lyons on June 23rd. Please sign up!
Our second ride will be in Winter Park on July 28th!! In conjunction with the Colorado Freeride Festival Winter Park Resort is offering us 20% of lift and rental packages for those of you looking for a great down hill day. For the rest we will be hosting a cross country ride in Fraser, and a BBQ for everyone will be held downtown later in the afternoon courtesy of BMA and Oskar Blues! We have some local talent to show us around so if you ever wanted to explore some of the unmarked trails this is the day to do it!

We are looking for ride leaders and volunteers for both rides along with ideas for the 3rd ride. For those of you who want to volunteer or be a ride leader we will be hosting a BBQ for you June 3rd!

BMA Member Party, June 13th
Now that the mountain biking season is well underway, it's time for another exclusive BMA Membership Party! Come on down to the Boulder Trek Store to celebrate BMA. This party is a great opportunity to connect with other Boulder-area mountain bikers; to hear where they are riding; to see firsthand the community of riders BMA offers you; to enjoy beer and snacks with other people who share your passion for mountain biking.
BMA members and folks who sign up to become members at the door will get a free pair of BMA socks (while supplies last) AND will be entered to win other goodies, courtesy of BMA and Trek!

Lyons-Boulder Shuttle
Yes, there is a bike rack!
This summer a free shuttle will carry passengers between Boulder and Lyons on summer weekends. Operating now through Aug. 31 the shuttle will run on Friday evenings and Saturdays and Sundays.
The Lyons-to-Boulder Shuttle will provide free bus service back-and-forth from the Boulder Transit Center at 14th and Walnut streets and the Lyons Park-n-Ride at Fourth Avenue and Broadway, with multiple stops in between along Broadway in Boulder and U.S. 36 between Boulder and Lyons.
Plan those long point to point rides with a buddy and enjoy this new service!
