Bike Swap: Donations & Help Please!
BMA is manning a both at this year's Boulder Bicycle Swap. Stop by the BMA tent and say hi, or better yet, swing by and pick up some gently used parts for your next project. As usual, proceeds go towards better trails for Boulder County!
Want to help? We can use an extra couple people for short shifts between 10-4pm Saturday. Get in touch and let us know when you can swing by for an hour or so.
We'll see you Sunday - the swap is at Scarpa, 3550 Frontier Ave, from 10-4.

National Trails Day: Heil Ranch!
Heil Ranch is a much loved trail north of Boulder but it's being loved to death. Years of foot, bike and hoof traffic combined with the harsh Colorado weather and the highly erodible soils has made the Wapiti trail at Heil in desperate need of TLC. And we aim to give it come. BMA and BCPOS will be hosting a National Trails Day event at the Wapiti and we are inviting YOU.
We will be re-routing especially over-used sections of tread to new, sweet sweet trail and then closing down the old trail. The goal is to create a more sustainable trail that will stand up to use and mitigate user conflict.
After the trail work is done, we will celebrate all of our good deeds with libations provided by Oskar Blues. So if you've been telling yourself that you need to do some trail work, this is it! This is the one! Sign up today!

- When the loggers come, the ENTIRE West Mag area will be closed for at least two months
- The West Mag Recreation Area will be 100% closed... no parking, no camping, no riding.
- When it opens again, large areas will be unrecognizable.
- We will make it better than before, but it will take time
- Soonest possible start is the day after Memorial Day
- These details will continue to change
- RIDE IT NOW BEFORE IT CLOSES!
Here is a current map of West Mag and surrounding area. Note the red border that demarcates the recreation area. USFS lands outside of this area should remain open.
