Yes! Another bike park is starting construction!

Superior is looking for more than 100 volunteers invest in the tracks and jumps for their bike park, all under the direction of nationally-known, locally-based bike park designer Lee McCormack. More details on the park can be found here. They need your help to make this great new park a reality. Dig days start this weekend and next, (March 12-13 and 19-20)

Work will run from nine to five, with food, water, tools and restroom facilities available. Please come by and help as long as you are available. Heil Ranch Trail Day

BMA is partnering with Boulder County Parks and Open Space for trail maintenance on the Wapiti Trail at Heil Valley Ranch this spring.

If the weather cooperates we are hoping to start work next Saturday, March 12, 2011 with a spring storm delay postpone date of March 19th and then we will keep trying every Saturday until mother nature decides to let us on her door step.

We will meet at the the South trailhead off LeftHand Canyon, Geer Canyon at the pavilion at 8:30 AM.  Our project site will be near the bridge above the meadow.  We'll have a County vehicle to take some people and encourage folks to ride or walk up to the site.

We will run till 12:30pm with an option to stay longer if there is need and interest. Bring a smile, the willingness to get dirty, water, snacks, gloves, sturdy shoes and gear appropriate for Colorado weather. Limit is 15 people.

Give a shout if you are interested!

Disabled Vet Bike Training

Volunteers Needed! The City of Boulder EXPAND program has recently been awarded a U.S. Paralympic Grant to provide triathlon training for injured veterans and community members with physical disabilities.  BMA has been glad to help EXPAND in the past and we're looking for volunteers to help with basic  rider support on training rides.  Anyone on any kind of bike can do this and it's incredibly helpful and rewarding.  Please contact Jen Heilveil at 303-413-7474 or Hersch for more information.
