We've still got a few volunteer slots open for the joint BMA/WRV St. Vrain Trail Project. If we finish this weekend we'll be opening the South St Vrain Trail from Brainard Lake east to mountain bikes on the first of August. If we don't get it done, the opening may wait a year. This is a two day project together with Wildlands Restoration Volunteers (WRV) to move a portion of the South St. Vrain Trail out of the wilderness area and into a more sustainable alignment. In addition to opening the trail to mountain bikes, this work will also restore the old alignment and protect the riparian corridor from further damage.

You may volunteer for one or two days. Camping facilities and meals will also be available. There's additional project description at the WRV site (www.wlrv.org).
