Ladies Night Halloween Party at YogaSoul This Friday with Marta Wenker
Come celebrate Halloween at YogaSoul! Bring a treat to share with your YogaSoul Ladies!
Come join us to explore and exonerate the "Witch"! It is said that as many as 2,000,000 "so called witches" were massacred in Europe during the 1500's. These women (and sometimes children and men) were accused of sorcery and practicing witchcraft, and calling on the power of the Devil. In reality, these women were empowered holistic healers - practicing their Divine-given talents to heal. How does the witch archetype play out in modern day society? How can we, as women, step into our empowerment and not be "burned at the stake"? We will start our workshop with a brief historical outline of the aforementioned time period and view select clips from the movie: "The Burning Times". Then, we will have a short discussion period. Next, we will conduct a sacred ritual to metaphorically "brew in our witch's cauldron" one thing in our life that is disempowering ~ and, in doing so, we will clear our energy field of this item that causes anger, distress, anxiety and dis-empowerment. Finally, we will finish the workshop with the "Sacred Space Meditation" to re-establish our connection the Feminine Divine, as Creator Energy is the Ultimate Empowering Force. We will close class with more discussion and some nummy treats. After this workshop, you will say "thank you" the next time some one calls you a "Witch"!
Cost: Donation-based event! (suggested donation $15)

Quote from Yogiji
"The power to obey is the power to command. Here in the West, to surrender, to be humble, to obey is considered to be slavery, but actually it is the power of the self. Only the most exalted, most powerful character can surrender."
Yogi Bhajan, the master of Kundalini Yoga, brought the teachings of this ancient sacred science to America in 1969. He taught here for 35 years until his passing in 2004. | |
