Combine: 6 cups of water 10-15 Black Peppercorns 10-15 Whole Cloves 20-25 Cardamom Pods (cracked) 3-5 Cinnamon Sticks 5-6 slices of fresh Ginger Bring contents to a boil, simmer for 15 minutes. Then steep 4 black tea bags in liquid for 5 min (or Yogi Tea brand, Chai Black). Remove tea bags and strain spices. Add 12-16 ounces of Blue Diamond Vanilla Sweetened Almond Milk (non-dairy product - regular milk can be used) and bring back almost to a boil. Add honey to taste Yogi Tea is good for the blood, colon, nervous system, and bones. It can be used to combat colds, flu, and physical weakness. Medicinal Properties of Spices:
Cardamom: Part of Ginger family, relieves stomach problems and heartburn. Clove: Disinfectant properties, used to treat toothaches and reduces inflammation. Cinnamon: Strong antiseptic, sedative components and believed to lower sugar levels. Ginger: Nourishes the nervous system, stimulates heart and circulatory system, and has ability to reduce inflammation Peppercorns: Purifies the blood, promotes intestinal health and increases digestion. |
