A REMINDER TO OUR MEMBERS TO START THE BREAKFAST LINE BY 6:50AM!!
Members were reminded of the visioning session coming up and Gerry P announced a new member orientation for 4/20 that is for ALL members.
Last week's program: PGA Championship returns to Whistling Straits in 2010. Barry shared with us many of the behind the scenes stories/acitivities. 64 committees are hard at work. Private home rentals will be used to help accomodate every. In 2004 the economic impact was 75 million last year year it was 76 million. The layout of the area will be redesigned. An effort to make the event accessible to everyone is being worked out.
The PGA Championship will return to Wisconsin and the shores of Lake Michigan in 2010 when the 92nd staging of the year's final major championship is held at Whistling Straits in Kohler. The acclaimed Straits Course, designed by legendary Pete Dye and opened for play in 1998, is ranked by Golf Digest as one of "America's 100 Greatest Courses" and played host to the 86th PGA Championship won by Vijay Singh in 2004. |

After 20 years of hard work, Rotary and its partners are on the brink of eradicating this tenacious disease, but a strong push is needed now to root it out once and for all. It is a window of opportunity of historic proportions.

Your contribution will help Rotary raise $200 million to match $355 million in challenge grants received from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The resulting $555 million will directly support immunization campaigns in developing countries, where polio continues to infect and paralyze children, robbing them of their futures and compounding the hardships faced by their families.
As long as polio threatens even one child anywhere in the world, children everywhere remain at risk. The stakes are that high.

Lakeland International Students Ryan Opahle from Lakeland College will be bringing 3-4 International Students to speak at our meeting. Ryan will talk briefly about the Global Student Association (GSA) at Lakeland College and then each student will tell us about themselves.
