Site-Based Programs back in full swing | |
Over the past few months, site-based programs in Central Mass and Metrowest have returned to action - with new matches meeting for the first time and returning matches reconnecting as the new school year has begun. At our Framingham Boys & Club program, Big Sister, Sophia, and Little Sister, Rachel, were seen walking around with their Worcester Tornadoes jerseys on - a perk the two received over the summer for winning the UNUM Starting 9 Essay Contest!
Little Brothers and Sisters have also been able to attend some of their Bigs sporting events during the fall semester, including a WPI Volleyball Game, and Holy Cross Volleyball, Field Hockey and Football Games.

The 2011 Rodman Ride for Kids |
On Saturday, October 1st, Big Brothers Big Sisters participated in the 21th Annual Rodman Ride for Kids. Our riders were easy to spot in their bright blue shirts! Participating teams that rode on behalf of our agency included: Bose Corporation, Genzyme, John's Brothers, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, TJX Companies, Unum, as well as Bigs and Littles, Board Members and staff from Big Brothers Big Sisters. To date, we have been able to exceed our team fundraising goal of $100,000.
Big Brothers Big Sisters would like to thank everyone who rode in the event, volunteered at the event and financially supported the event, despite less than desirable weather conditions! It is with your support that our agency's efforts in the Rodman Ride continue to be successful each year.
