A Taste of Something Big--Huge Success |
|
On May 13, BBBS hosted its third annual food and wine tasting event, "A Taste of Something Big". The event raised $50,000 to help BBBS expand its programs to reach more children in need within the Worcester and Metrowest communities. BBBS Executive Director Ben Ticho was honored for thirty years of leadership. He received a commendation from State Representative Karen Polito as well as high praise from colleagues including the CEO of Mass Mentoring, David Shapiro and Sister Paulette Gardner. That night, the Ben Ticho BBBS/Holy Cross Partnership Fund was established, raising over $6,000 in support of programs with Ben's alma mater, the College of Holy Cross. The event could not have been possible without the help of Event Chair Tracey Hall and Co-Chair Jeanne Santora. For more on the event, read about it on our blog or view our photo album.
