 BBBS Elects Officers and Board

At the annual meeting in January, BBBS elected officers, Board of Directors and Corporators for 2009. New officers are:
President: Kevin Martin
Vice President: Colleen O'Brien
Treasurer: Chris Brunell (returning)
Secretary: Garry Weiner.
Thank you to Dave Cole who has completed his term as President.
 
New board members are:
Jessica Anderson,
Karen Boehnke, Sal Guerra, Robert MacLea, Edward Moloney, and Jasmin Rivas. 
 
We appreciate their commitment and dedication to improving our organization!

Join BBBS for its annual fundraising event, A Taste of Something BIG! Bid on our online, silent, or live auctions! Sample tasty offerings donated by local restaurants and caterers! Pay tribute to Ben Ticho's 30 years of executive leadership! All while helping kids at-risk in our community get the support they need through one-on-one mentoring.

8:00 pm - Live Auction and Program with a special tribute to Executive Director Ben Ticho for his 30 years of leadership to the agency. The live auction will be hosted once again by celebrity auctioneer, Susan Wornick.

A Special Thank You to FedEx
Fed Ex Bike Donation FedEx Partnership
For the past 20 years, FedEx has teamed up with BBBS to donate over 500 bikes during BBBS's annual Christmas party. This year Boston Power Wash in Scituate joined FedEx in sponsoring the gifts by donating an additional $500 for bikes.

Another highlight of the party is a dance performance by Charlotte's Dancers (shown below).

College Sumo Invitational Held at Holy Cross

This year, BBBS hosted our first ever Sumo Wrestling tournament. The fundraising event was held in partnership with the college programs at Holy Cross, WPI, and Assumption. 
 
Big brothers and sisters competed in sumo wrestling at Holy Cross while being cheered on by a crowd of friends, sponsors, and Littles. Everyone had a great time. Thank you to all of the event sponsors and participants!
