Pool House
Renovation!
pool

Miracles do happen at Marbridge! One recent example is the renovation of the pool house, which languished as an eyesore for many years. Not so anymore! The poolhouse now sports a new stucco-like finish and landscaping. Additional improvements will include new paint on the interior and colorful graphics to brighten up the  walls. Extended future plans call for the addition of
dressing rooms.

Marbridge achieves a new record  They came. They played. They conquered! The Summer Games were a spectacular success for our Marbridge Longhorns. All basketball teams emerged undefeated to take the gold medal. That includes the A Team, B Team, Co-Ed Team and Team Skills categories. The clean sweep of all categories represents a new record for the Longhorns.

Our track athletes fared well, too. They earned 20 medals and 15 ribbons, bringing our total take-home medal count to an astounding 56!

MPFA brings magic to Marbridge

Top left: Michael Kolb looks for breaks in a magic metal ring. Top right: Magician Kent Cummins conjures flowers from a hat. Bottom: At left, MPFA members Tom Leyden and Coach Hughie Shaw, right, prepare to "cut" MPFA member Suzanne Leyden in half with a rope. Cummins, right center, applied a little magic and, fortunately for Mrs. Leyden, the rope fell to the ground when pulled.

The Marbridge Family & Parents Association delighted crowds of residents at the Villa and the chapel on May 27, with two magic shows presented by renowned local magician Kent Cummins. Cummins operates Magic Camp, a summer camp for kids, and plays to audiences across the city and beyond. His campy style kept residents laughing and enjoying the show. Many thanks to the MPFA for providing this spring break entertainment!
