Through Their Eyes
| Dick Clampitt, whose son Max lives at The Village, recently donated several cameras to our Training & Education Department. Now residents in Kristen Boswell's Photography class are digitally capturing the colors, patterns and light of the world around them. Residents in the class are learning how to operate digital cameras, compose and frame a scene, and how to enhance photos using computer software.

Village resident Jane Baxter captured this scene of an exercise class--a good example of seeing color patterns. |

Villa D-Hall community shower slated for renovation--at no cost!
National Association of the Remodeling Industry selects Marbridge for annual service project
The Villa's D-Hall community shower will soon be getting a complete renovation, thanks to the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.
"NARI selects wonderful organizations like Marbridge each year to complete a service project," said Scott McAvoy, vice president of operations. "They have already enlisted an architect, Tom Pope of Pope Architects and Builders, and a weatherization contractor, Ken Hinze, along with Matthew Gentry of Gentry Service Group, to draft preliminary plans for the project."
A page will be added to the Marbridge web site and you'll be able to follow the renovation progress online. Future issues of LifeLines will alert you when the page is loaded. We extend our sincere appreciation to NARI for choosing Marbridge Villa for its annual service project!

| Spreading the love | Brianna Wojtowicz and Ashlee Liu organize a stuffed animal drive for Villa residents

Brianna Wojtowicz, left, and friend Ashlee Liu prepare gently used stuffed animals for distribution to Villa residents.
Brianna Wojtowicz and her friend Ashlee Liu wanted to spread Valentines Day love to the residents of the Villa, so the two organized a stuffed animal drive. They collected more than 90 gently used stuffed animals and attached helium balloons to each one to make an extra special gift. On Valentine afternoon, Ashlee woke up sick and was unable to attend, but her younger sister, Brooke, filled in on the gift delivery. The two girls roamed the Villa all morning, allowing residents to pick out the animal they wanted. Thank you, Brianna, Ashlee and Brooke for your generous act of kindness! | |
