"The reason I joined the Marbridge Miracle Society can be summed up in two words: The residents. During my first JAM Session, I was incredibly moved by the testimonials of what was happening in their lives. Then all I had to do was take a walk across the Marbridge campus, and I was charmed by the residents that smiled and said "hell-o" as I passed. Once you interact with the residents and experience the deep sense of love, purpose and commitment that each member of the Marbridge staff has in serving individuals with cognitive challenges, you just want to be a part of it.
I believe it's important to support Marbridge because, plain and simple, it has a wonderful mission. It's not about focusing on what the residents can't do, but what they can do. In seeking to create a better lifestyle for individuals and families of individuals with cognitive challenges, Marbridge is serving a wonderful cause and, in so doing, we are doing God's work in their lives." |
