Tybee Island at our Labor Day Beach Bash!
Labor Day Beach Bash - Sunday, Sept. 5th
Visit Tybee Island this Labor Day weekend and celebrate the end of summer at the 3rd Annual Labor Day Beach Bash. Gary Roland and The Landsharks Band, a very talented and popular Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band, will play a free concert on the Tybee Pier and there will also be a fireworks show for all to enjoy. 
Pirates Invade this October...
Amy Gaster the reigning Pirate Queen for 2009 would like to invite all to attend the most exciting event of the year on Tybee Island... the Tybee Island Pirate Fest. For the 6th year in a row this fun event will take place on Columbus Day weekend, October 8th-10th, and will offer live entertainment including headliners Drivin N Cryin and Eddie Money. The event is fun for all ages and includes lots of childrens' activities, a Pirate Parade, live entertainment, arts/crafts/pirate vendors, costume contests and much more! Tickets are $15 in advance for both days or $10 each for Friday and Saturday at the door. Children 12 and under & Sunday are free. Also, don't miss the Buccaneer Ball at The Crab Shack on Thursday, October 7th. |

"Knock You Naked" Margarita Recipe
A favorite treat to make for friends on a hot summer day.
 Ingredients
12 oz. 7-Up (can substitute diet 7up or club soda)
12 oz. Limeade (Frozen concentrate)
12 oz. Tequila - (Jose Quervo Gold is good)
1 Beer (Preferably Corona, any will do)
Ice
Course salt
Fresh Lime
Instructions
Empty the limeade into a pitcher, fill the empty can with tequila and pour into pitcher. Blend very well. Pour the beer and stir in 7-Up or club soda (7-Up sweetens the drink a little, club soda adds fizz without flavor or sugar). Add a squeeze of fresh lime juice and stir. Salt margarita glass rims, fill glasses with ice, pour over ice, garnish with lime wedge. Woo-wee - enjoy! |
