Celebrate St. Patrick's Day on Tybee Ireland. O  n Saturday, March 13th, the Tybee Island Irish Heritage Celebration Parade will be held starting at 3 p.m. This is a wonderful family-friendly parade which runs south on Butler Avenue from 4th Street to Tybrisa Street. There will be Junkanoo from the Caribbean, Bag Pipers, and parade watchers will be treated with beads and more from the participants. You can catch Barabbas and The Tribe from Junkanoo World in the Bahamas performing at The Crab Shack March 13-17. The New York Shields Pipe and Drum Band will be there on March 18th. About Savannah's St. Patrick's Day Parade: The following Wednesday after Tybee's parade head into Savannah for their renowned St.
Patrick's Day Celebration, the largest in the South! And it ain't easy
being green - unless you're here in Savannah. It will be one great
emerald party with over 250,000 guests. So pack your finest green attire
and head to Tybee Island and enjoy two great events in one trip. At 10 a.m., start March 17 off right with the 186th St. Patrick's Day Parade, the second largest St. Patrick's Day parade in the country. Parade participants come from all over the world and spectators line the streets and squares of the Historic District. There will be day-long celebrations in City Market and on River Street as well as throughout Savannah. Shuttle Service will be available from Tybee Island to the Savannah festivities. |

Tybee Wine Festival
 This annual fundraiser is a must for wine and history lovers. Enjoy some fine vino and help raise money to restore the Tybee Post Theater. The event will be held on the grounds of the Historic Tybee Island Lighthouse on Saturday, April 17th from 3-7pm and will feature over $100 wines from around the world and craft beers. Local restaurants will serve samplings from their menus and there will be trolleys ride to the theater to preview the restoration process, live entertainment, and an auction. Tickets will be $45 each.
