| Compassion + Efficiency (+/- Healthcare Reform) = Better SSD Results
Attorneys, Judge & SSA Manager Explain |
| Despite the economic downturn, the flood of new applicants and hearing backlogs the Social Security Administration rolled up its sleeves, changed the order of things and now the results are coming in - things are getting better.
Tonight on WFMZ-TV 69 at live 7PM on The American Law Journal host Christopher Naughton, Alan Polonsky of New Jersey's Polonsky & Polonsky, Pennsylvania practitioner Jess Leventhal of Leventhal Sutton & Gornstein, the Social Security Administration's Mark Bacak and newly retired from the SSA Hon. Roger Schwartz examine the changes and how passage of the new healthcare reform bill will affect the disability process and administration.
The figures are not lying. The waiting time for decisions is shorter and thirty eight new conditions have been added as "compassionate allowances" giving tens of thousands benefits within days. The plan to add a thousand new SSA employees and over 400 Administrative Law Judges should help as well. The American Law Journal airs weekly on Mondays at 7PM on WFMZ-TV 69 seen throughout the tri-state region.
