Equal pay for equal work. New protection for the disabled. Caregiver safeguards. Unions or no? Add these issues to the usual list of wrongful termination, sexual harassment and discrimination and 2010 promises to be a busy year in employment law.

Tonight at 7:00 p.m. on WFMZ-TV 69, The American Law Journal addresses "New Laws, New Trends at the Workplace." Attorney Host Christopher Naughton welcomes plaintiff's attorney George Kounoupis of Hahalis & Kounoupis and defense counsel Anthony Haller of Blank Rome.  Joining the panel is James Ottavio Castagnera from Rider University's Law and Justice program and EEOC Administrative Judge Hon. Monique Roberts from the New York District Office. The panel addresses a wide array of issues from retaliation and discrimination to workplace privacy and new ADA laws.

"There are many new developments," says Judge Roberts, "but what we are seeing more of are the family caregiver discrimination cases. Also, curiously, we are seeing more sexual harassment of young people entering the workforce for the first time."
