What are preemption ramifications of a landmark case involving pharmaceutical products? Could the same follow for medical devices?

Tonight at 7pm on WFMZ-TV 69 on The American Law Journal, host Christopher Naughton and plaintiff's attorney Jamie Sheller, Esq. of Sheller, P.C., defense counsel Raymond Williams, Esq. of DLA Piper and the Hon. Gene Cohen of Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads discuss this year's U.S. Supreme Court decision Wyeth v. Levine.  Professional musician Diana Levine lost an arm as a result of an IV administered drug which set in motion the events that led to her case reaching the U.S. Supreme Court.

The program also plays excerpts of a chilling 911 call from Bridget Robb who claims a medical device for her heart sent shockwaves through her body and nearly killed her. Earlier this year she testified before Congress asking for changes to a decision that grants medical products manufacturers preemption protection.
