FUNDRAISING
|
Tyson labels: Monthly Tyson label contests began in January. Be a "good egg" and help the Discovery School "feather its nest" by earning 24 cents for every Tyson Label.
Congratulations to Ms. Jones class who won the Tyson Label contest by turning in 47 Tyson Chicken labels. To celebrate, Dr. Clark presented the morning announcements in a chicken beak and feathers, then led the flock of fifth graders through the halls doing the chicken dance. The next contest deadline is March 18, so get those Tyson labels flying in soon.

Box Tops: The total for the winter Box Tops contest was $426.60. This puts our
total earned for the 2009/2010 school year at $985.80! These funds are
well used and appreciated by our PTA, which thanks everyone for their
support. Look for another collection contest in the spring. The two
students who collected the most box tops and won $15 Target gift cards were
Colin Dyer (5th grade - Jones) and Grace Mayfield (3rd grade - Bunyi). Every class has a collection bin in its
classroom, so it's convenient to send in your tops at any time. For more information, please contact
Jennifer Kropog.
