0W-20 NOW REQUIRED on 2010 Honda CR-V
Owner's Manuals for the 2010 Honda CR-V are now available. This GEN4 Honda CR-V is the first in the line-up of Honda (excluding Hybrids) to require 0W-20 for service fill.
Honda dealerships have been using Honda Genuine 0W-20 for several years on the Honda Civic Hybrid as well as the new 2010 Honda Insight. The Honda Genuine 0W-20 will continue to be available in quarts. With over 150,000 CR-V's sold annually in the U.S., this new 0W-20 requirements is expected to increases 0W-20 demand at Honda dealerships.
This change is consistent with Honda's plan to have over 10 Million Honda & Acura vehicles to which SAE 0W-20 can be applied by model year 2011.
