Along the Way was painted from photographs of a New England Village that were taken by my exceptionally talented friend Sharon. In my last newsletter you saw another of my paintings based on Sharon's amazing photography. That painting was called Mister Blue, Great Blue Heron. I am excited to report Mister Blue was accepted for a national juried show last week. It just goes to show if you hold your beak just right, good things do happen!

Join me on October 17 from 2 to 5 pm for the opening reception of Somewhere in Texas: A Painting Begins. This juried show will feature works from artists from across the Lone Star State.
This wouldn't be a proper newsletter without a pug pic! It was a great honor to have three of my pet portraits selected for the juried art show in Irving, Texas, this month. My portraits will be on display at the Jaycee Center for the Arts in Irving, TX, through September 24.
