Health Authority Conference Postponed "Weaving a Seamless Fabric of Services for the Uninsured," a national forum for health authorities, health coalitions, and other health professionals dedicated to the health care safety net, scheduled for May 14-15, has been postponed, announced Chris Allen, CEO of the Health Authority.
"The economy and other factors have curtailed the travel and educational budgets of many who work in the health care safety net," he said. "We received encouragement from our speakers and participants, but we were unable to generate enough attendance to make the program work at this time. We expect to reschedule the program in the future.
"We regret the inconvenience and disappointment to our participants, and extend our gratitude to our academic partner, Wayne State University." |
The Detroit Wayne County Health Authority's mission is to coordinate efforts to meet the health needs of the uninsured and underinsured residents in Detroit and Wayne County by assuring access and improving the health status of all people.
