| 'Critical Condition': PBS features documentary on uninsured
The Public Broadcasting System (PBS) will feature a special broadcast of "Critical Condition," a documentary on the impact of being sick and uninsured in America, on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 9 p.m.
"Rx for Change," a MacNeil/Lehrer special presentation which explores the presidential candidates' proposals for health care reform, will follow the program.
"Critical Condition" profiles four people who face distressingly similar obstacles to surviving without health insurance. Ultimately, the subjects discover that being uninsured can cost them their jobs, health, homes, savings, even their lives.
Following the program, viewers will have a chance to share their opinions on the issue through "Talking Back" on the PBS P.O.V. (point of view) blog.
