MTA Members Collaborate on Ansel Adams Exhibition
Jim McCreight (L), MTA President and Trustee Maryhill Art Museum; Robyn G. Peterson (center), Executive Director Yellowstone Art Museum; Colleen Schafroth (R), Director Maryhill Art Museum)
On Saturday, July 18, 2009 MTA member Maryhill Art Museum opened their new exhibit, Ansel Adams: Masterworks. The 47 photographs featured in Ansel Adams: Masterworks are part of a larger group called "The Museum Set," which Adams personally selected to serve as a succinct representation of his life's work. The exhibition presents a special opportunity for the public to see photographs that the artist viewed as his best.
Maryhill Art Museum called on the expertise of Robyn G. Peterson Director of MTA member Yellowstone Art Museum to curate the exhibit as well as give the opening day lecture at Maryhill.
MTA encourages members to utilize the many talents and expertise of MTA Directors, staff and board members to help each other. If you museum has a special need please contact us and we will try to connect you to an MTA resource that can help.
