Join Your In Philadelpha at the AAM Trustee Day Program
The Museum Trustee Association is collaborating with the American Association of Museums on the second annual Trustees Day program on Saturday, May 2, 2009.
MTA will be moderating three panels during the days program:
- Aaron Milrad, MTA Board Chair, will be moderating a panel on Board Liability and Insurance issues. Learn if you as a trustee face personal liability and how to protect yourself.
- Maureen "Mo" King, our Second Vice-Chair, will moderate a panel on "The Give/Get/Get Off: A Stumbling Block to Board Diversity?" Can a diverse board still meet it fundraising responsibilities?
- Jim McCreight, MTA President, will moderate a panel titled "Hands On, Fingers Out -Where Governance and Management Collide" Learn where the lines are drawn between Board and Director responsibilities.
Additional topics will be covered during the day and the luncheon speaker will be Patty Stonesifer, Chair of the Smithsonian Board of Regents. This should be a very interesting view of the governance issues facing the 17 Smithsonian museums.
Jim McCreight, MTA President
