 We've spent the winter growing our roots deeper, building infrastructure and quietly experimenting in the lab. As you explore our online store, you'll notice a steady stream of changes- all designed to make your shopping experience more enjoyable. Many of the improvements we've made are invisible and will show up as faster shipping and better customer service.
In life, before we can really bloom, we must all grow strong roots. Like the humble lotus, this work is done in the dark and often done alone. It isn't glamorous, it can be a difficult and slow process and it's never-ending. Sometimes it involves letting go of things that no longer serve us. You'll notice several products missing from our line. As much as we love them, we're making room for some exciting new aromas like Kama and new facial care products- at our customers' requests!

Herb of the Month: Lotus
The scent of lotus has a rich, intoxicating quality that evokes the warm, misty, and voluptuous atmosphere of tropical forests or gardens. It may carry you away to an exotic land of sunshine and brought back memories of other scent impressions from Eastern delights, such as the exquisite tuberose (polianthes tuberosa), the ginger lily flower (Hedychium coranarium), the gardenia (gardenia jasminoides). When inhaled, scent sensations gather in the soul, enticing one into inner regions of sensuous awareness, where all senses join together to summon up experiences and imagery of places past.
Lotus plants are used as food- the rhizomes are a starchy food staple in many regions, medicine- taken internally for myriad health issues, and even as a smoking herb, inducing feelings of euphoria.
We blend the intensely aromatic wild lotus petals in our new Kama perfume with Indian sandalwood, frankincense, myrrh, rose and other herbs to produce a sensual, unisex aroma that blooms with your body's warmth.
