Fireworks
Dear Patients and Friends:
Happy Birthday America, and Happy July to you.
We continue to celebrate our freedom, and while our country's resources are not what they were a year ago, we celebrate the blessings we have in our families, friends and community. At StillPointe, we especially appreciate you. We do not take your loyalty and business for granted, and we continually strive to make sure our service is exceptional and that we are offering products and services that you want. As a part of this, we are in the process of establishing an advisory board to make sure we stay at the forefront in our industry and community.
We always welcome your suggestions and comments. Do we have the services you want? Are our hours convenient? Do we have classes and products you need? Are we communicating with you effectively? We will do an official survey in the fall, but in the meantime, please feel free to email or call me with your feedback. My e-mail is:  dr.saetre@stillpointe.net
And again, THANK YOU for being part of the StillPointe family.

In good health,
Dr. Susan Saetre and the StillPointe Staff
StillPointe SERVICES AND PROGRAM UPDATES:
Have you tried our new CHIRO EXPRESS?
Summer is busy and you want to make the most of it.  We are now offering "no appointment" chiropractic adjustments on Mondays from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.  Just stop in on your way home and get a tune-up adjustment.  We are trying this for the summer, and if you like the service, we will continue it.  It is available to established patients and includes just an adjustment, no therapies.  We will also take new patients or current patients who get therapies, massage and rehab during this time, but appointments are still needed for those services.  Questions?  Give us a call at 320-203-8266.

Discount Service Plans:
We have a wonderful array of special discount programs for Chiropractic care, Massage, EDS and FirstLine Therapy.  Check out our website for details - www.stillpointe.net -  or just CLICK on the mouse for healthy savings program information!

StillPointe will continue to have a limited supply of Young Living and other essential oils. We place our orders monthly. So if there is a special oil you want, please place your order with us by the 20th of the month, along with your payment. The order is usually received around the first week of the following month.
You can order on your own as well. Go to  www.stillpointe.younglivingworld.com - and with the account number: 322756, you can set up your own account and order online. This site can also be accessed on our website  - www.stillpointe.net - by going to services and clicking on "aromatherapy."

SUMMER SPECTACULAR REFERRAL PROGRAM.
Summer is a great time to get "caught-up" with your health care. The Watermelonkids are out of school, you can get outdoor exercise and eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. It is also a wonderful time to take advantage of the services at StillPointe. From July 1 through August 15, we have a special referral program. Refer someone (friend, family member, co-worker, etc.) to StillPointe for ANY service and we will put your name into a drawing for a "Summer Spectacular Picnic Basket." Refer as many people as you want, and enter several times. We will also have weekly drawings for massage or gift certificates. Just think, you are helping create great health and may win a spectacular prize as well!  Click on the watermelon above to see details.
STAFF CHANGES.
fire works     We sadly say goodbye to our front desk "angel," Jill. She has served us with cheerful efficiency for five years and we will miss her very much. She is moving to the VA Medical Center reception area. We wish her the very best.
We say hello to Samantha Kirckof who is our new front desk manager. Samantha has a talented background in teaching piano, skating and dance. She has managed retail businesses and is skilled in customer service and marketing.
Our accounts manager is Julie Thompson, who will also play an expanded role at the front desk and as a chiropractic assistant.
CONDITION OF THE MONTH:
TENDONITIS?  WE CAN HELP!
Tennis Player     A tendon is a tough yet flexible band of fibrous tissue. The tendon is the structure in your body that connects your muscles to the bones. The skeletal muscles in your body are responsible for moving your bones, thus enabling you to walk, jump, lift, and move in many ways. When a muscle contracts, it causes the tendon to pull on the bone to cause movement. Sometimes the tendons become inflamed for a variety of reasons, and the action of pulling the muscle becomes irritating. If the normal smooth gliding motion of your tendon is impaired, the tendon will become inflamed and movement will become painful. This is called tendonitis. (source: J. Culett, MD, ask.com)

What causes tendonitis?

The most common cause of tendonitis is overuse. Commonly, individuals begin an exercise program, or increase their level of exercise, and begin to experience symptoms of tendonitis. The tendon is unaccustomed to the new level of demand, and this overuse will cause an inflammation and tendonitis. Other causes include: repetitive use, especially in sports or work activities; aging, hormone changes and imbalance of the spine.
At StillPointe, we work with tendonitis in several ways.  First we do a comprehensive spinal and structural evaluation, and find out what your activities are at work, sports, etc. If we find you have tendonitis, we treat with chiropractic adjustments, ultrasound to reduce inflammation, and possibly massage, special taping, acupuncture, exercise, nutritional support and changes to your posture and movement. Tendonitis can take weeks or months to heal, so make sure you come in for an assessment when symptoms start. The earlier it is treated, the faster the recovery.
FEATURED PRODUCTS OF THE MONTH - 15% OFF!
We are featuring the following products at 15% off* during the month of July to help you and your family enjoy your summer activities -- Fibroplex and BuzzAway.

Fibroplex provides intensive, targeted nutrition for muscles to support well-being in patients with muscle tenderness and discomfort. It also supports cellular energy production and provides bioavailable, well-tolerated magnesium in the form of a patented amino acid chelate.

Summer Tip: Use BuzzAway to safely prevent mosquito bites.
Mosquitoes may be the "Minnesota Mascot," but they are annoying and can be dangerous as they transmit diseases such as malaria, yellow fever, encephalitis and West Nile virus to humans and animals.  Most products on the market contain harmful and toxic chemicals such as DEET.  While there are many natural things you can do to prevent bites and treat them, we found one of the best is Buzz Away.  It is formulated with citronella, cedar wood, eucalyptus, lemon grass, peppermint, and pure and natural plant extracts that repel bugs.  We carry the sprays, wipes and "after-bite" products at StillPointe. They are safe for children.

StillPointe IN THE NEWS!
StillPointe was featured in a recent front-page article of the St. Cloud Times.
The article focused on depression and menopause, with comments by local professionals, including StillPointe's Dr. Susan Saetre and Gena McClure, N.D. (Naturopath) . The article, written by Jane Laskey in the St. Cloud Times on June 13, explored both medical and natural approaches to hormone changes. It's a great article and we invite you to review our copy in the resource center at the clinic. If you experiencing depression and/or menopause, please contact our staff about the services that StillPointe provides that could be helpful to your individual situation.
We hope that you found this e-newsletter to be helpful and informative.  If you have any comments or suggestions, please let our staff know at your next visit or you can e-mail us at:
