THIS MOTHER'S DAY GIVE MOM THE GIFT OF RELAXATION
Dear Bernie,
I've got a great Mom! She takes me for walks every day (sometimes 3 times), we go to obedience class at night once a week and I am now enrolled in an agility class. And then of course we have play dates with other dogs and sometimes a hike on Sunday. Bernie, I love my Mom but jeesh! She's wearing herself out keeping me busy. Any suggestions to slow this woman down?
Tired in Tarzana
Dear Tired,
Well it seems like you have a pretty active family. And I have the perfect idea for your Mom. You know it's Mother's Day this month so why don't you give her the gift of relaxing? Let her go get a massage, have lunch with her friends or take in a movie. (Shalom can help with a recommendation). And you can make some new friends!
So here's the plan....get your Mom a cute card and inside write "Love you, take a break. Let Geoff or Tina play with me for a day!" Geoff and Tina are two of our professional dog walkers/pet sitters and they are ready to help your Mom with a day off. Tell her to email truebluepets@aol.com or slobber@sbcglobal.net. You'll both have a blast!
HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY TO ALL OUR DOG MOMS!

MR. FANTASTIC IS JUST THAT...FANTASTIC
The Fantastic Mr. Fox is a FANTASTIC movie. Mr. Fox decides to reform and not steal any chickens because his wife has asked him to find a real job. He tries very hard not to do what comes naturally and for 2 years he manages to control his urges and settles down in a very nice treehouse with his family. But he finally gives in to his "animal urges" and with his Possum friend he raids 3 farms and sets the whole town against the animals in the forest.
All the animals have to hide out and Mr. Fox takes all the blame for the disaster and tries to make things right.
I don't think this was a cartoon. The animals looked very real. It's different from any other movie I've watched and it was really cool! And the soundtrack is absolutely AWESOME.
I'm giving this four paws and a tail wag. Loved this movie!
Peace out! Shalom |
VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH
With his unending enthusiasm and good nature, Geoff has been an important part of The Squad for over 8 years. More than 90 fosters have passed through his doors. Most arrived neglected, malnourished and had never been inside a home. With patience, good food and lots of love, Geoff taught these pups what it was like to be a member of a family and to be wanted and cared for. Thank you Geoff for all you do for our dogs! |
