Bernstein VACCINES - AN OUNCE OF PREVENTION

LOS ANGELES, CA - Can you
  imagine a world without
vaccines?  A world with diphtheria, typhoid, poliomyelitis, smallpox and rabies running rampant through the population?  Fortunately, prevention against many serious diseases is readily available.  Our animal population is likewise protected against many serious diseases by vaccination.

Most pet owners know their dogs and cats should be vaccinated, but there is often confusion as to when or why.

Bernie
  DEAR BERNIE

  I think I'm in trouble.  I heard
Mom and Dad say that I was
going to go to daycare because
  I've been a bit naughty lately.  I
  don't think I've been naughty.  I
just get really bored and start
  chewing things up.  Hey...I'm
only 8 months old.  Is daycare
  scarey?  What are they gonna
  do to me?

~ Scared Scottie in Stanton
Dear Scottie,

You are so lucky!  Daycare is wonderful.  You get to play with other dogs and run around and no one really yells at you unless you just happen to jump on a little poodle and pretend it's a squeaky toy (but that's another story).

Seriously, you are very lucky that your people care enough about you to take you to daycare.  Most daycares separate the little dogs from the big dogs and someone is always there to make sure no one picks on you.  There are usually toys to play with and things to climb on and hide under.  The daycare I went to had a pool!   And a guy who threw tennis balls for us to chase.

Daycare will help socialize you with other dogs and teach you manners....instead of chewing things up in your house and yard, you will have other puppies to play with.  You'll be so tired at the end of the day - you won't want to chew anything but your dinner!

We wanted to give you an update on
Sawyer's first few days with us.  He
has such a sweet and winsome
personality - we have certainly fallen
  for him!

He's quite a curious one and loves
  following us around everywhere.  He
is so gentle and calm in the house -
we have had zero chewing incidents
and no accidents...even overnight.  He's getting used to his exercise schedule of a run every morning and a walk every evening - and plenty of play time in the backyard every day with us.  He loves playing with his ball and his rope in the backyard and racing back and forth from end to end on the grass.  Read the full happy story...

DOG OF THE MONTH

Kina

Meet KINA

Kina is an irresistable bundle of energy who loves to just hang out with her people. She loves to cuddle and gives tons of kisses!

Kina walks nicely on a leash, knows some commands and is one smart little pup!  She is a boxer mix, 5 months old and about 35 pounds.

She would love to find a home with an older male dog.

Kina seems to be cat friendly and will be great with kids.  Just look at that face....how can you resist?
