Greetings!
If you've ever felt your heart turn over when a friend says a kind word when you're feeling blue ... If you've ever listened to a speaker whose words lit up an "Aha!" realization that changes the way you see the world ... If you've ever heard someone talk about their shiny new gadget and you've said to yourself, "I want to get that now!" ... You know the power of language. The words you use can lift someone up, or shoot them down; make their day, or break their heart; create harmonious relationships, or turn a love nest into a war zone.
Today's article will show you how to use Personal Love Styles to talk with your loved ones in ways that make them feel truly loved.
Enjoy! With love and appreciation, Moira PS - Click here to listen to this article. Thank you! |

Touch Me
Personal Love Style #1 - Kinesthetic
People who love to attend workshops; announce "I'm a hugger!" and then hug you; or religiously attend yoga class ...
Primarily process love, information and the world itself through touch, feeling, and emotion.
Kinesthetic people feel most deeply loved when they feel embraced, connected, accepted and understood.
When you're talking with your Kinesthetic loved ones, they will feel embraced and connected when you use Kinesthetic language - words that suggest touch and feeling.
For instance:
- "It touches my heart when you say that."
- "You've made this place feel so cozy and inviting."
- "Let's go for a walk and talk about it."
- "You are so warm and friendly!"
- "I'd say your gut instinct is right on."
Does this feel true to you?
Can you imagine how good your loved ones will feel when you use Kinesthetic language to reach out and touch them?

Tell Me
Personal Love Style #2 - Auditory
People who love to hum and sing; close their eyes when they listen to something; or enjoy spending hours on the phone catching up with friends ...
Primarily process love, information, and the world itself through sound, melody and frequency.
Auditory people feel most deeply loved when they feel heard, listened to, accepted and understood.
When you're talking with your Auditory loved ones, they will feel heard and listened to when you use Auditory language: words that evoke sound and hearing.
For instance:
- "I've never heard that explained so clearly."
- "You are such a great storyteller!"
- "Tell me more."
- "What you said really resonated with me."
- "You're coming through loud and clear."
- "You have the most comforting voice."
Does this ring true for you?
Can you imagine how harmonious your relationships will be when you use Auditory language to let loved ones know you're tuned in to them?

Show Me
Personal Love Style #3 - Visual
People who adore shiny, sparkly stuff; far prefer DVDs and videos to CDs and MP3s; or get their colors done ...
Primarily process love, information, and the world itself through images, color and light.
Visual people feel most deeply loved when they feel seen, recognized, accepted and understood.
When you're talking with your Visual loved ones, they will feel seen and recognized when you use Visual language - words that paint a picture.
For instance:
- "I see what you mean."
- "That's crystal-clear to me."
- "You look so shiny today!"
- "That color looks great on you."
- "I'm not really clear on this - can you connect the dots for me?"
Do you see what I mean?
Can you visualize your loved ones glowing when you use Visual language to show how clearly you see them and love them exactly as they are?
