Betty Friedan Historical Marker

Dear Sisters,

We have a chance to commemorate our feminist foremother, Betty Friedan in Grand View-On-Hudson, where Betty wrote "The Feminine Mystique." which in 1963 woke up thousands of women and resulted in the formation of The National Organization for Women (NOW ) and started a feminist revolution which reduced gender discrimination for millions of women and girls worldwide.

World-renowned artist Cristina Biaggi and proud member of NOW has donated her talent to create the bas relief of Betty for the three-foot-high marker which will be cast in metal and installed in front of the Grand View Village Hall.

Feminists everywhere are contributing to the cost to make this monument a reality.
