VFA's officers and board members wish the heroes of the feminist revolution and all our friends and allies
A HAPPY AND JOYOUS 2011 |
We say goodbye to last year, another good year for VFA. Highlights were the super event in Dallas and being honored by the National Women's Hall of Fame.
Special thanks to all who have helped VFA in 2010, especially to Linda Stein, Kate Millett and Juliette Gordon who donated their paintings to auction for VFA. And to Mary Stanley who helped VFA raise funds in several other ways, including writing the President's Circle fund letter. WHAT IS ON THE HORIZON FOR 2011?
We will introduce a movie and a book about the August 26 1970 March for Equality. Called Equality for Women the movie has been edited to include exciting memories of the women who marched that great day in Manhattan. The book will have photos, quotes and memories from events held around the country that August 26th. Both are historic gems and will raise funds for VFA. Thanks to Dr. Al Sutton, who filmed the march, and then edited it for VFA, and to Jeanne McGill, who discovered the movie and compiled the memories into a book. EVENTS PLANNED
