Responses to our Feminist of the Month series have been so enthusiastic that we're going to introduce you to VFA's board members, who are also very special feminists. We've already featured Barbara Love (October, 2009) and Muriel Fox, our Chair (July, 2010), as a feminist icon. You'll soon be reading about our co-president, Sheila Tobias, and other officers, including me.
But you, too are special. So we're urging each and every pioneer feminist to write her bio in an informal and personal way... in the style of our Feminist of the Month. Write about your childhood influences, who or what had an impact on your life, how you came to devote so much of your life to feminism. Tell what you've done. We're not as interested in the awards you've received as why you got those awards... and what made you YOU!
Try to keep it under 2,000 words.
Our web manager, finds photos and illustrations to dramatize the bios and sets them up on our webpage. Editing is done by Jacqui, Joan Michel and the author - you! Hoping to receive your bio soon.
