After running from the Trade Towers for an entire day on 9/11,Linda Stein had to vacate her downtown apartment and studio. For the next year, she stopped making sculpture, and created, instead, a series of "Mood Portraits:"  paintings and limited-edition  fine art prints of women of courage, who have made a difference in the history of PARITY, PROTECTION AND PEACE. They are printed with archival inks in limited fine art editions, and are framed beautifully with archival 8-ply matting.

Along with her Mood Portraits, Linda Stein's gender bending Knights can be seen at Flomenhaft Gallery in New York and Longstreth Goldberg Art in Florida, as well as museums and galleries both here and abroad. Stein's non-profit corporation Have Art: Will Travel! Inc. has the same mission of Parity/Protection/Peace as does Wonder Woman, the icon Stein references in most of her video and sculptural installations.
