Color continues to be the story this month, with Stampin' Up!'s color renovation. Below, I highlight another new color collection that will be premiering on July 1 with the new catalog. (Along with a couple of easy projects for inspiration!)
Remember: the Color Renovation also means that many colors are retiring. So if you want to stock up, now is the time before SU runs out.
The Summer Mini Catalog debuted on May 1. Check out all the new stamps, papers, and punches.

The Color Renovation - Chapter 4
Stampin' UP! will be introducing new families of colors as part of their COLOR RENOVATION, which will premier with the new catalog on July 1.
Last time, I highlighted the Brights Collection. This week, it's the Regals.

This collection is reminiscent of soft velvets, opulent party dresses, and luxurious salons. These saturated colors are a must for vintage art in addition to any other time you need deep, rich tones. And they mix well with colors from the other collections, like Early Espresso and Baja Breeze.
Here are a couple of inspired projects using these new colors:

The beautiful card above was created with Not Quite Navy and Cajun Craze cardstock. The Cajun Craze was textured using the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder with the Big Shot. The stamp set is Peace Within, using inks to watercolor the images. (The wide ribbon will be available with the new catalog on July 1.)

The base carstock was created by repeatedly stamping, over and over and over, the small flower from Simple Friendship in Riding Hood Red on the same color cardstock. Clever, huh? The "eyelet" trim was created using the Eyelet Border punch. If you love this project idea, contact me and I'll send along instructions.
Remember: the Color Renovation also means lots of retiring colors. If you LOVE Orchid Opulence, and can't live without Ballet Blue, now is the time to stock up on ink pads, cardstock, and markers. You can check out the list of retiring colors here.
