Greetings Friends!

DeniseIt has simply evaporated--as we say here in Colorado's dry climate . . . I've begun writing this in the last minutes of a full, rich, colorful October and this is October's news!   Warped time in a 'Halloween scary!' sort of way.

The first part of the month found the 2011 Program Committee gathered for a working weekend to review presentation proposals and collaborate on the architecture of the next conference.  Notices of results of the committee's review will be sent this week to all submitters.

To accommodate already full schedules, leaders opted for the annual fourth quarter strategic planning session to be held in a virtual environment.  This presented a unique opportunity to integrate perspectives from interested, involved members who serve ISSSEEM in various volunteer capacities. Our planning process began mid-month with two weeks of exploration discussions.  The next two phases, direction and decision, will unfold over several weeks--great minds devoting careful attention over time--absolutely priceless.

Publications are being wrapped up for the year.  Editors and contributing artists and authors synthesized an outstandingly beautiful Bridges Magazine issue; member subscribers just received it and I've heard great feedback.  One member who chose to have hers printed in color at her local copy store found attendants writing down the website so they could check out ISSSEEM!    The final installment of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine Volume 20, our peer-reviewed scientific journal is well underway.  This along with Volume 21, Number 1 will be published before year end.   To learn more about the ISSSEEM tradition of premier publications, to submit articles, to advertise, or to subscribe, visit Publications at www.issseem.org

Amid all this activity, I was off-line for nearly a week while in Costa Rica's rainforest on a long-planned, celebratory trip.  I felt the powerfully pungent beckoning of sights, sounds, colors, and varieties of life wane as I was drawn into the rhythmic pulse of the surroundings.  Nothing like a series of nights in a jungle to ground one's being!  While there, I became decidedly observant of mutualism, in its biological sense--individual organisms interacting to derive increased survivorship--displays appear everywhere.   I'm still fascinated and still contemplating why this natural phenomenon struck me so deeply.  What, if anything, has the concept to do with subtle energies or ISSSEEM?  And, how and where could it be applied?  Share your thoughts here.

Blesses All,

Denise

is a fast-paced, fun event, unique to the ISSSEEM conferences created to provide a vehicle for interesting, relevant ideas to be shared. It is a forum in which members can deliver a 15 minute presentation on a topic of choice. Members Choice Forum talks are "NO-TECH" - which means presenters speak "eye to eye" to an audience of fellow members in informal, short gatherings. These "soap box" style presentations have been called a cross between "Ted Talks" & "Speed Dating!""

Common Wealth Common Wealth: Our Legacy of Places of Power and the Transfiguration of the Human Soul  by Freddy Silva

Following a global catastrophe in 9703 B.C., groups of Sages embarked on a mission to rebuild a worldwide network of temples that would maintain indefinitely a society in balance with itself and with the cosmos.

These places of power were constructed at magnetically sensitive locations and according to prescribed laws that are capable of altering states of consciousness. But not only did temples become repositories of an incredible ancient science, they would also serve as an insurance policy in times when people lost sight of the fact that they too are gods.

Can temples really transform ordinary humans into extraordinary beings?

Bestselling author Freddy Silva examines the origins of sacred places and what makes them so, from pre-diluvial mansions of the gods to the resurgence of ancient knowledge in the modern era, and asks:
  • Why did our predecessors source the earth force?
  • What and where is paradise?
  • Are sacred mountains geometrically aligned?
  • Where does deity descend to earth?
  • Who were the 15-foot tall gods?
  • How are temples aligned to a world grid?
  • How do fables encode numerical codes?
  • Why do periods of temple-building pre-empt climate changes?
  • What secret did the Knights Templar bring back from Jerusalem?
  • What is the angle of manifestation, and what is it doing in a capital city?
The aim of the temple-builders was to preserve and transmit a body of spiritual knowledge capable of transfiguring the soul, for just as they once discovered, this knowledge offers a solution to our loss of confidence in the spirit, and through this self-empowerment we become masters of our selves.

Their legacy is our common wealth.

Another New Release

GlimpsesGlimpses of Eternity: Sharing a Loved One's Passage  From This Life to the Next by Raymond Moody, MD with Paul Perry

Raymond Moody, author of the multimillion copy best-seller, Life After Life, reveals new results from his lifelong investigation of what happens when we die. Raymond Moody revolutionized the way we think about death with his first book, Life After Life, which was stories of people who died and then returned to life. Going through a tunnel, encountering an angelic being or having an out-of-body experience are hallmarks of what Moody termed a 'near death experience.' Since the publication of his multimillion copy best-seller, hundreds of thousands of people have contacted Moody to share their own experiences. The startling pattern that Moody discovered is that at the time of death, loved ones also have inexplicable experiences.

In the 1980s, Moody began hearing about shared-death experiences; friends, family, and medical personal go along with the dying as they are surrounded by the light, taken through the tunnel, and sometimes even take part in the life review. Most of the book comprises firsthand accounts that tell a common story. Then Moody takes on some of the most-asked questions raised by the idea of shared-death experiences: Do they tell us something new about the afterlife? Do you have to be religious to have the experience? How do you know people who claim to have had shared-death experiences aren't lying? Moody also theorizes on what might explain these experiences and how shared-death experiences might be the ancient basis for religion. Nonbelievers will scoff, but as Moody notes, "I think it's good for mankind to have a hearty dose of the unexplained.

Glimpses of Eternity is the first book to talk about the phenomenon of 'shared death experiences.' Readers will discover deathbed moments when entire families see the light or the room changes shape. Others tell of seeing a film like review of a loved one's life and learning things that they could never have known otherwise. The stories are at once a comfort and a mystery, giving us a new understanding of the journey that we will take at the end of our lives.

Human Design
Human Design:

Discover the Person You Were Born To Be
By Chetan Parkyn

Described as a self-empowerment tool, useful for harnessing your inner power, Human Design clearly delivers.  You know me, I always want to test the strength of such statements.  As an intrepid reviewer, I am compelled to test all promises made by a book, especially if those promises fall into the broad category of life-changing promises.  I am happy to report that I have yet again met a book which delivers in a good way.

If you are a seeker, always interested in self-discovery, personal growth opportunities, curious about the mysteries of life and ready to become a better person, this book is a must read, must buy.  Download the free software, design your own chart and get ready to be introduced to the real person you were born to be.  This introduction will enable you to forevermore recognize opportunities to exercise your best decision-making tools.   All you need to get started is your time, date and place of birth.

Human Design is a unique system that blends some familiar elements of astrology, I-Ching, Kaballah, and the chakra system yet, delivers fresh perspectives and deeply resonating insights.   Written in an informative and entertaining style, readers will find themselves spending enjoyable hours poring over the material.

This is one book that my family and friends have been so intrigued with that they've bought their own copies after just one review of mine.    The author is writing three more follow up books on the Human Design aspects of relationships, reincarnation and additional in-depth analysis of the basic Human Design system.  Personally, I'm looking forward to reading all three.

born remembering

Born Remembering

By Carol Lamb

This is the story of the journey of the soul, the continuity of consciousness
beyond the body and most of all, remembering.

A healer's paranormal experience of retained soul memory of other lives,
of premonition and pre-cognition, never discussed until a predestined
meeting forty years later triggered a tsunami of events.

An investigation into paranormal experience, memory of other lives and
angelic connection.  A true account of spontaneous soul recognition of
shared lives, initially experienced by an unsuspecting group who came
together in 1991 to become the storytellers from the past.

Born Remembering documents the benevolent communication of Ascended
Masters guiding planetary evolution, as we face the challenges of the
transition to a new age of consciousness.

Direct channelled communication and the step by step fulfillment of
prophetic guidance indicated predestination.  The unfolding of a divine
blueprint revealed a Life Plan and shared purpose along with a request to:

'Tell them ... You come to the Earth of learning ... you learn or fail to
learn ...you return and return again to the vain forgetting and the
endless remembering of home.'
