Greetings!
The Field of the Future --'Evidence-based Spirituality'
Contemporaries, researchers, healers, teachers, and pioneers on the thought frontier presently live a convergence culture that embraces heart and reason, science and spirit. And ISSSEEM is a consortium for that convergence. As has been the case for 20 years, ISSSEEM members and friends convene in June to meld the practices and morph the views that continue to shape a Field of the Future.
Startling, inventive, and intelligent as the culture it serves, this year's conference should be mandatory for anyone trying to make sense of their lives as Charley Tart has said. But, an event this vital and engaging hardly needs a mandate, just some word of mouth. The Research Symposium and Members Choice have both doubled in size since last year and we expect the same of the exhibitors. See our updates and amazing additions - you can find them at issseem.org. Then forward this eSEEM to your friends and colleagues!
the schedule of presentations and plenary talks for Friday's Research Symposium, Members Choice Public Forum presenters and their array of amazing topics, Monday Night at the Movies is back with a public screening of the award-winning film, Something Unknown Film Website VIP (very interesting persons) dine and dialogue opportunities that support ISSSEEM Friends and Group Discounts One Day Only Fees
I received the quote that appears below from Joel and Michelle Levey this week - some of you may be subscribers. I wanted to take the essence of it and pass it on here . I concluded, however, that it would be better appreciated in its entirety:
"We've come to believe that the core capacity needed to access the field of the future is presence. We first thought of presence as being fully conscious and aware in the present moment. Then we began to appreciate presence as deep listening, of being open beyond one's preconceptions and historical ways of making sense. We came to see the importance of letting go of old identities and the need to control and, as Salk said, making choices to serve the evolution of life. Ultimately, we came to see all these aspects of presence as leading to a state of "letting come," of consciously participating in a larger field for change. In the end, we concluded that understanding presence and the possibilities of larger fields for change can come only from many perspectives-from the emerging science of living systems, from the creative arts, from profound organizational change experiences, and from direct contact with the generative capacities of nature. Virtually all indigenous or native cultures have regarded nature or the universe or Mother Earth as the ultimate teacher. At few points in history has the need to rediscover this teacher been greater." - by Peter Senge, Otto Scharmer, Joseph Jaworski & Betty Sue Flowers

MEET US AT ISSSEEM 2010 Conference Whole Brain Learning (WBL) for Personal and Social Transformation Coalition
We are interested in forming a Special Interest Group (SIG) for people who care about promoting a Whole Brain Learning approach in education. Whole Brain Learning includes practices such as: The I.am.I Method of Spontaneous Painting, reflective thinking, developing intuitive knowing, spiritual and creative intelligences, t'ai chi kung, Nonviolent Communication, and contributions you believe would enhance a Whole Brain Learning interdisciplinary curriculum. We welcome all those who are interested in creating a WBL educational model that could reach business, mental health programs, social services, and education from kindergarten to adulthood. It is time for public and private educational programs to include effective methods that develop other potentials of consciousness in addition to intellectual knowing.
We would like to gather at the ISSSEEM Conference for a short meeting. We can get to
know each other and organize into sub groups and
come away with an intention to put theory into practice. Contact: Susan Mintz-Bello, Ph.D susanbello@gmail.com Website
Susan will be presenting in our Members Choice Forum, Reawakening the Colors of Life - The psyche's innate ability to paint symbolic images activates unique potential, your creative birthright. The wealth of the soul exists in images.

"How to Avoid Legal Problems with your Website if you use Energy Psychology Methods" by Midge Murphy, JD, Ph.D.
There are a
number of ways that both licensed and non-licensed practitioners of
energy therapies
can find themselves in costly and
debilitating legal dilemmas because of what is published on their
websites.
Most practitioners using innovative
energy based techniques are not aware of the various legal issues that
impact and
govern their ability to represent themselves
to the public via their websites. In this article I will
discuss
some of the legal principles that generate
these potential legal problems and provide some steps for managing the
risks practitioners
face because of the innovative nature of
energy therapies. This is a multilayered approach because
there
are several areas in which practitioners can
have a legal problem. In this article, I'm going to
cover 3 major legal areas....licensing
statutes, the Federal Trade Commission, and misrepresentation. Click to read complete article

Welcoming Consciousness: Supporting Babies Wholeness From the Beginning of Life by Dr. Wendy Ann McCarty
This book opens a new vista of the landscape of early human development-guaranteed to transform how you experience babies, children, and every human being!
Prenatal and perinatal psychology has been studying our earliest development from the baby's point of view for over 30 years. Findings reveal we are conscious, aware beings who already have a sense of self as we begin human life. This book explores the mysteries of our multidimensional nature and the extraordinary stores babies, children, and adults tell us of their life in the womb and during birth. It introduces the Integrated Model of early development that embraces both our transcendent and human perspectives; 12 guiding principles; and the new discipline, Primary Psychology. The Encyclopedia of Energy Medicine by Linnie ThomasThis is a comprehensive and authoritative guide to the history and modern use of energy related complementary medicines. This authoritative encyclopedia presents readers with an entire overview of the increasingly popular fields of energy medicine and related bio-field therapies. Filled with insightful, practical, and easy-to-understand information, "The Encyclopedia of Energy Medicine" examines the history and modern uses of such alternative therapies as Acupressure, Healing Touch, Reiki, Reflexology, the Tellington Method, Therapeutic Touch, and more than 50 others. The Encyclopedia also includes expert advice on how to start training in any of these disciplines, giving readers the opportunity to forge a new career in the exciting field of complementary and alternative medicine.
Member RecommendationDeborah Owen-Sohocki submitted this review Awaken t o Your Soul: A Guide to Remembering Who You Really Are by Mary Anderson, Ph.D. One May morning several years ago, Dr. Mary Anderson was visited by an angelic being and a spirit guide who called her to her life's work as a mystic.
In her captivating spiritual memoir, Dr. Anderson shares the details of her personal healing journey following her awakening that beautiful spring morning. Her world was forever changed in the instant when her vision and hearing expanded to the other side. As a seasoned intuitive and psychotherapist, she has helped hundreds of clients on their own journeys to remembering their true selves, and offers a high level of clarity and wisdom to guide other in their own healing process. She explains new theories using personal anecdotes, detailed explanations, questions and exercises in order to promote healing and to clarify the rich, poignant messages from Spirit. Included is a map of the chakra system to facilitate a step-by-step progression in discovering the true essence of a soul.
Awaken To Your Soul invites all individuals on a journey through life to seek signs from Spirit and determine an authentic path that will ultimately bring happiness, healing, and peace.
The wisdom embedded in this book and Dr. Anderson's humility, integrity, and compassion that shines in every page has profoundly impacted my own journey to authentic awakening. I believe it is a must read for anyone seeking their authentic self.
