The International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine (ISSSEEM) is an international non-profit interdisciplinary organization dedicated to exploring and applying subtle energies as they relate to the experience of consciousness, healing, and human potential. ISSSEEM is in a unique position, acting both as a bridge builder between communities and a leader in the field, offering a community with a widespread appreciation of the energetic component within many disciplines including quantum physics, therapeutic modalities, healing, psychology, consciousness, psi and the understanding of our multidimensional existence.

On behalf of the leadership of ISSSEEM, many thanks to those who contributed to our recent survey's overwhelming response. (Scroll all the way down this page for a token of our gratitude.)
I look forward to continuing the conversation, so if you didn't take part this time, know there will be future opportunities!
Beyond multiple-choice answers, the questions elicited illuminating and passionate commentary. All helped to inform the inquiry and exploration undertaken by the Board of Directors at its annual planning summit last weekend. Here are a few highlights from the survey results:
· 41% of our regular eSEEM readers participated and 77% of those participants added comments in one or more instances.
· 97% of respondents, both members and non-members, say ISSSEEM is a relevant community and educational resource for those exploring subtle energies and applying them to emerging fields that bridge Science and Spirit. Many indicated even more relevant now than when it was founded.
· Top ranked effects an association with the ISSSEEM (at any level) has had for respondents:
- leading edge research information source
- personal and/or spiritual growth
- professional growth / continuing education
· Top-ranked interests valued by both members and non-members
- online availability of individual SEEM Journal articles
- web-based seminars or training
- Bridges Magazine in digital format by subscription
- Regional lectures or town hall type events
· 87% of members stated they value Bridges Magazine--for living subtle energies as a resource.
· 75% of respondents would recommend a friend or colleague become involved. (I say, the rest just need to get to know us better!)
Q. What was the intention and outcome of the Board of Directors summit?
A. A retooled, sustainable organization model that supports the Society's mission and serves its diverse and growing international community responsibly into the new decade and through the ISSSEEM's next 20 years.

Creating a Unified Field of Healing

The incredible devastation caused by the earthquake in Haiti leaves us saddened, confused, concerned and feeling unable to help those in need. Some of us have sent money to relief agencies and some of us will be attempting to go to Haiti to provide direct assistance.
However, each of us through our thoughts, prayers and meditations can create a very powerful field of healing for those that are suffering and have died. As members of ISSSEEM we know that our intentions, thoughts, prayers and meditations do, in fact, make a difference and can positively affect a person's emotional, mental, physical, ethereal and astral well being. If each of us creates the intention that "our thoughts, prayers and healing meditations be joined with those of the greater ISSSEEM community" then we will be creating a "unified field of healing" that synergistically is very powerful.
Also know that for this synergy and field to occur it is not necessary for everyone to pray or meditate at a certain time or day. The field of healing that we are accessing is beyond time and space. So whenever you are able, take a moment to pray or meditate and know that your healing energies will make a difference. Also remember to send healing energies to those newly departed souls who are in need of love and support to move forward in their journey. Together our prayers and meditations can make a difference.

Ever eager to stimulate intelligent reflection about consciousness, subtle energies, parapsychology, and science & spirituality in general, ISSSEEM's President, Professor Charles T. Tart, has launched a series of videos addressing questions of consciousness, some posed by eSEEM readers.

Charley is an internationally known researcher, writer, lecturer and educator. His classic Altered States of Consciousness was largely responsible for legitimatizing the study of altered states in psychology and psychiatry, and his Transpersonal Psychologies book in 1975 helped found the field of that name.harley's most recent book, The End of Materialism: How Evidence of the Paranormal is Bringing Science and Spirit Together, illustrates that it is not only reasonable, but healthy, based on scientific evidence, to be both scientifically and spiritually oriented.
Cancer Healing Research Trip Around the World
Have you healed from Cancer using non-traditional means?
I am cur rently looking to interview for my PhD dissertation study at the University of California at Berkeley. I'm looking for people who healed from cancer using non-traditional means, ideally without chemo/radiation or after chemo/radiation failed to help.

Upcoming Events
Taksha University is pleased to announce the inauguration of its Graduate Certificate Program in Consciousness Studies.
This 12-hour weekend course, "Quantum Consciousness and an Integrative Psychology," is being offered in the Bay Area, California, on May 1-2, 2010
The first of the Tracks, led by Dr. Goswami, is entitled "A Quantum Science Approach to Consciousness." All courses within this program will be taught at various places around the USA and internationally. They may be taken as stand-alone courses, or to apply towards Graduate Certification.
