Greetings!
Over the river and through the woods

We are poised . . .
Today, even our planet is poised. During the days both before and after the solstice, the sun's noontime elevation appears not to change, hence
the origin of the word solstice from
the Latin solstitium: sol "sun" and sistere
"to come to a stop".
We sense this pervading stillness and slow our pace; we open to 'wonder'
- it's what makes holidays holy days and why winter solstice has, since ancient
times, been celebrated as a turning point.
It's good to slow down when at a turning
point. Whether navigating a path
through change or negotiating a mountain road, one does not want to skid out of
control right when progress is banked for new direction! On this road that links
challenging times with thriving times, we've equipped our vehicle with systems
for Light and Guidance (high beams and a nav system). We've opted for a more cost-efficient model (hybrid!),
stashed a few provisions (blankets and snacks) just in case, and while we have
our destination pinpointed, our attention is directly ahead. The road will become unremarkable -once
we arrive. Being tossed about on a
curve or two will get hardly a mention - what we'll remember is rounding the
bend . . . and the feeling of acceleration!
Your membership,
your contributions and your caring thoughts keep the Society moving forward
with its important mission. Thank
you for being involved, for speaking to others about ISSSEEM and for
introducing it to your colleagues.
Thank you for invaluable gifts of time and talent. Thank you for connecting, for
expressing your views. And thank
you in advance for responding to the survey we'll be sending you soon.
You are loved and
wished Peace, in your heart and in your home, for the holidays and beyond.
"Let this year be a
Year of Miracles and a Year of Illumination." Ascended

Bulletin Board News from Board of Directors and Members
News from Jerry Wesch Ph.D. Wisdom Council Member
Jerry is a Clinical Psychologist employed by the US Army at Ft Hood, Texas
We know many of
you have been concerned regarding the recent shootings at Ft. Hood. November
05, 2009 was a dark and scary time for all associated with the base. Jerry was
on base in his clinic when the sirens began and the emergency procedures kicked
in. The shootings were on the other side of the main base, about 2 miles away,
but Reset Clinic is very near the Emergency Room and he could see the
ambulances. For a while, the only source of information was CNN and the
Hospital Emergency Line. The base stayed locked down for 7 hours. Some of
Jerry's soldiers were first responders to the scene and did magnificently in
caring for the wounded, using their combat life support skills with good
effect. The death toll could have been higher without the well-honed skills of
the combat experienced soldiers on the scene.
We did not know
the shooter - he worked in the hospital psychiatric inpatient unit for only a
few months. The follow-up was chaos. Jerry was in charge of the Crisis
Debriefing Team at North Ft. Hood for the first 3 days, helping manage the
acute impact of the trauma on the several Units there who had members killed or
wounded. By Monday, the "Experts" from Washington, DC began to descend on the
scene and the "fun" of high profile drama and politics began. It is not over
yet. At least 3 VIP investigation teams are still going over who, what, where
and why of the tragedy. Stay tuned - more news will emerge as the facts get
sorted out. Continue to offer prayers for the healing of the Ft. Hood
Community, our soldiers and their families.

The Way Home: Making Heaven on Earth by Madis Senner
New Release December 11, 2009
The Way Home examines the mystical world and our dynamic relationship with each other and Mother Earth. It shows how our thoughts create our reality. It tells how we have trapped ourselves in the physical world and in doing so made ourselves strangers to our own true self. The Way Home discusses our symbiotic relationship with Mother Earth and how our thoughts and actions affect her. It shows how bad thoughts or violent actions can creates blockages that disrupt the proper functioning of her subtle body that in the longer term can lead to natural catastrophes and disasters.
This book gives a road map for positive change. It tells how we can use the power of our positive thoughts to free ourselves from the snares that we have created. It teaches and provides knowledge that can empower a few to bring about great change. To free ourselves we need to understand how the mystical world works and to turn that which has trapped us into that which will free us.
Intentionality: The Matrix of Healing
by Rothlyn Zahourek
This ground breaking new work makes a quantum leap in the exploration of two pivotal concepts in current healthcare: Intentionality and Healing. Intentionality is the heart and soul of healing, but what is it? Meticulously researched and fluently written, Dr. Zahourek's work goes beyond previous writers and researchers in elucidating these concepts through the voices and actions of both healers and healees. Her thorough thoughtful analysis has enabled her to describe the evolutionary and transforming nature of intentionality and the essence of healing. Taking her findings one step further, she develops a theory, Intentionality, the Matrix of Healing. This theory describes the origins, and dimensions of Intentionality. Talents and experiences influence development and the expression of intentionality and healing. Concepts of consciousness, paradox and synchronicity are interwoven. This new theory paves the way for application in clinical situations, widening the breadth of education in the healing professions and lighting the way for further research. This book is of great value to healing professionals engaged in any of those arenas.
Guided Healing: The Art of Transferring Love Between Realms by Peter Calvert
Using concepts drawn from science and contemporary
culture, Guided Healing presents a vision of human spirituality appropriate for
our times, as we move out of traditional, paternalistic religious allegories
and into a rational appreciation of what being spiritual involves.
To spiritual seekers, Guided Healing presents a novel view
of the spiritual purpose and benefits of being born into a physical body.
Issues covered include the relationship between the spiritual and physical
realms, the reason for incarnation, the use of meditation as a means of
exploring the spiritual realm, and the significance of soul work.
To healers, Guided Healing offers instruction on how to
become a conduit for healing energy that emanates from the spiritual realm.
Topics covered include how to contact guides in the spiritual realm, the nature
of spiritual perception, and models of factors which enhance or hinder energy
flow during the act of healing.

When you have a disability, keeping healthy presents a whole new range of challenges. Prescription drugs and invasive treatments can cause unwanted side effects, and neither health insurance nor Medicaid covers alternative treatments such as acupuncture and massage therapy. That means that Americans with disabilities must either find a way to pay for these alternatives or resign themselves to the deficiencies of traditional medicine. The Chanda Plan Foundation says there is a third option. The non-profit organization is dedicated to providing the disabled with funds through grants to access alternative treatments.
The PLAN - Improve the quality of life for people with physical disabilities through education and program to access integrative therapies.
