"Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home. " ~Edith Sitwell
Sunday morning at the Rendezvous
Next year is in California so get ready NOW!!
Greetings!
We had 90 tree climbers at this years Rendezvous!! We had beautiful weather and
climbers from all over the US!
took us awhile to organize for the pic above
We exchanged names, posted our pics on facebook and built a bigger and stronger tree climbing community. Isn't that what life is about? Building a community, sharing love of nature, of each other and transforming our hearts at the same time. I have to admit though...I miss everybody! Now the winter is moving in and I didn't even get to breathe yet.
Did you know there is a thing such as SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and one out 4 people are affected. Basically it is from lack of sunlight. We tend to eat more...yes I have been bingeing on candy corn and dark chocolate and then we get the weight gain DOUBLE WHAMMY!! I researched to find out what I could do differently this year. Besides exercise, eat and drink healthy and get outside what else could I do? Here are some ideas.
1. Have a bonfire party and drink hot cocoa 2. Plan one different adventure a week something that just peeks your interest and makes
your heart soar. 3. Light many candles like 20 in one room!
Laurie Burnham bringing in the new day at the Rendezvous!
4. Go south for a week (going in Feb) 5. Take a dance class! 6. Learn something brand new...like knit a hat or scarf. 7. Make all your Christmas gifts this year! Start NOW! 8. Buy some brand new music that is uplifting. 9. Spend time every morning reading something inspiring. I love Power of Intention by Wayne Dyer 10. Play with a animal or child!
What ideas do you have? Please let me know I love new ideas
