Welcome New Subscribers !!  We had over 100 climbers in the last week alone!! 48 from a Summer camp, 16 boy scouts, a mother and daughter celebrating the daughters birthday and Centerville summer camp. We were honored to climb a new tree, a huge Chestnut Oak in Green park Dayton Ohio.

We want you to want to tree climb. So....Sept 26th at AJ JOLLY park 10:00 am to 3:00 pm we are offering a free mini sample of tree climbing. Mark your calendar now and we will provide more details as it gets closer.

"I wanted to let you know that we've had a great summer climbing!!  I had my best climb the other day, because the tree was very dense and I couldn't throw the zing it line; instead I had to monkey fist from  the first limb to the top!!  I lost count on the number of transfers (probably 5 or 6) and just had a great climb!!  We left a black line in the tree (which we've subsequently climbed again) but it was more fun getting to the final anchor point without it!!  I'm going to leave a set of gear at the cottage and take a set to Europe!!

This special program is being made affordable to you. We know the JOYS of tree climbing and we also know how difficult it can be getting a new business started. In this NEW class we are guiding you from A to Z on how to become a facilitator, how to get customers, providing YOU with the paperwork required to get started and for insurance approval.
 
You will also have the chance to spend an entire day with EarthJoy learning hands on how to facilitate a climb from set up to take down. We will teach you all the small tricks on how to get clients that are struggling getting into the tree.
 
At the end of this class you will be able to
 
  1. Safely facilitate at 3:1 ratio
  2. You will learn to tie knots, repeating each knot many times to instill *muscle memory*.
  3. Have all the paperwork necessary FOR your next business step
  4. You will learn how to access a tree, rope advancement within the canopy, rope and throw line retrieval, ascending using DREC, descending procedures
  5. Rope check and storage and basic equipment
  6. Know the hazards of tree climbing.
  7. Be able to assess a tree for safety
  8. Recommended equipment choices
  9. Rescue -critical aerial, non-critical aerial, and ground rescue.
