The Executive Board adopted updated Designation Procedures for New Regional Growth and Manufacturing/Industrial Centers.
The revised designation procedures will apply only to new regional growth and manufacturing industrial centers, provides more clarity for applicants as well as for decision makers when reviewing new center applications, and will help ensure that new centers can be successful in achieving the VISION 2040 regional growth strategy. Staff is making a few minor clarifying technical corrections to the procedures based on the Executive Board discussion. Watch the meeting online at psrc.org.

The Executive Board discussed the proposed approach for prioritizing projects in Transportation 2040.
Transportation 2040 includes a commitment to better prioritize transportation investments in the future to best meet the objectives of the region's growth strategy. The Executive Board reviewed the Draft Transportation 2040 Decision Guide, which was discussed earlier this month at a joint meeting of the Transportation and Growth Management Policy Boards. The EB will discuss the Draft Transportation 2040 Decision Guide in more detail in October. The draft decision guide is expected to be available for public review and comment in December. In spring 2012, the General Assembly is scheduled to take action on recommended prioritization methods, which are expected to be applied to projects during future updates to Transportation 2040.
