The Economic Development District Board discussed changes to its Public Works Prioritization Process.

The EDD annually identifies the top economic development related public works projects in the region and submits this ranking to the Economic Development Administration for potential funding. However, the EDA has changed the format of the public works prioritzation process to a quarterly grant making process. This improvement is designed to make the program more competitive, transparent, and efficient. The EDD has considered ways to continue participating in this program given the change in format and has decided to continue to do this on an annual basis as part of the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy prepared for the EDA.
