Introducing Our New Prevention Message for 2010

Thanks to all of you who helped with our new message brainstorm. People from across Minnesota suggested more than 100 ideas for our new prevention message for 2010. Approximately 320 people voted on the ten finalists to help select this year's slogan. Let's blanket the state with hope this year; use this slogan far and wide, and let us know what you experience in your communities and organizations. Here is our final selection!

When we help children do better today, we all do better tomorrow.

Frameworks Toolkit for Creating New Prevention Messages

FrameWorks' most recent online issue-specific toolkit was developed for Prevent Child Abuse America and funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. This compendium of research on how Americans think about child development includes specific communications recommendations and user-friendly tools for advocates working to increase public support for policies that support prevention and intervention and reduce child abuse and neglect. The toolkit includes a variety of useful applications of FrameWorks' recommendations, such as:
  • sample talking points,
  • responses to frequently asked questions,
  • sample editorial and letter to the editor, and
  • case studies that demonstrate how advocates have been able to successfully incorporate framing recommendations.
As a member of the FrameWorks community, you may log on to the toolkit by using the username/password combination of guest/guest.
