Let's Talk
Dear Friends,
Teaching children about healthy relationships and communication promotes peaceful relationships, and promoting peace = preventing abuse. "Let's Talk Month" is a national public education campaign celebrated in October promoting parent-child dialogues about healthy sexuality and relationships. It is an opportunity for community agencies, religious institutions, businesses, schools, media, parent groups and health providers to plan programs and activities which encourage parent/child communication about sexuality. Click here to find out more. Adults are responsible for protecting and nurturing children. Sometimes protecting kids requires us to have difficult conversations with other adults. Stop it Now! has a booklet that offers help when addressing a challenging subject "Let's Talk: Adults Talking To Adults about Child Sexual Abuse." You can see it here.
