Greetings!

As most of you already know, we closed our retail location, JEIDesign Collection, last weekend.  I would like to personally thank all of you who stopped by to see us off or helped in any way!  It was a very smooth transition, and we are very thankful for everyone's assistance!

We plan to re-open the store as soon as we find just the right spot, and you'll be the first to know when and where that happens!

Please also look for our announcement soon with the link to our new online retail experience.

Sincerely,

Julie Evans

Practical Tips to Turn Your Environment into a Love Nest

Touch

Your sense of touch can be a direct route to romance.  Texture can be used throughout your living space to soften your surroundings and make them more inviting.  Plush pillows and Greek Flokati shag rugs make each step and touch a soft and inviting experience.  Silk, satin and velvet are also passionately tactile and can be used on many home pieces, such as bedding, furniture, window treatments and throw pillows.

See

An easy and dramatic way to add some romantic charm to your room is with through lighting.  Lamps make for more attractive mood lighting than harsh over-head projection, and the glow should be soft and filtered.  Bright lights can detract from the ambience. Use lower wattage light bulbs or those with a soft pink hue.

Ornate chandeliers and fixtures on dimmers can also induce an ardent and tender mood.  A softer glow actually dilates the pupils, making us more attractive to the opposite sex.

Smell

Large, fresh bouquets of flowers will add some whimsical romance and alluring aromas to your room, not to mention an added aesthetic beauty.
Lamp Berger offers beautiful small glass lamps which release subtle and sensual aromas, and the containers are elegantly designed to be soothing to the eye.  Candles can also be appealing to your olfactory and create an amorous vibe.

Sound

Thick draperies or cork flooring are effective ways to shield your inner sanctuary from outside noise pollution for a more private ambience inside.  But, if you want to hear the outdoors, serving a meal or glass of wine on soft patio furniture will enable you and your honey to enjoy the comfort of the plush seating while you take in the calming sounds of the singing birds and gentle breeze of the evening.

You can also set up your home sound system to surround you in your romantic spaces.  The right music at the right volume results in an irresistible romantic aura.

Taste

Champagne, decadent chocolates and berries can set an ideal romantic mood.  But don't think that what you serve them in isn't just as important.  Delicate champagne flutes and silver serving trays will add a special touch that will leave your senses impassioned and in want of nothing more.
