Women's Military History Day
Over 100 people gathered to meet San Diego Women Veterans and visit the newly refurbished Women in Military History Exhibit at the San Diego Veteran's Museum in Balboa Park. 
Thursday, March 8, 7PM
International Women's Day
The Women's Museum was full with a lively
"Sharing" Session examining the current status of women's lives.  Hosted by the United Nations Women's Equity Council. A great evening of cross-generational conversation and hear the tales of women from around the word.

Ceremony and Dinner

300 people attended this inspiring and compelling evening in Liberty Station. We saluted "The Stars Among Us" as we added 6 new San Diego women to the Women's Hall of Fame.

International Women's Day Breakfast  

We got up early for this annual breakfast at the Joan Kroc Peace and Justice Center at USD in celebration of International Women's Day. A great annual event.

Spotlight on Women Luncheon

The Women's International Center, the French Chamber of Commerce and the Women's Museum of California partnered to bring this quarters "Spotlight on Women" with Guest Speaker, Marissa Ugarte, of the Bilateral Safety Corridor Coalition discussing human trafficking in our backyard.  View the photos here

Poetry and Dance
Women writers from the "Page to Stage" Poetry Workshops took to the stage and presented their new works to much applause and appreciation.    Learn More...

"She's History - the most dangerous women in America"
Actor and playwright Amy Simon rocked the house with her portrayal of a dozen ladies of history. We all learned many things we didn't know about American's women and are glad we do.
