 Come meet the courageous San Diego Suffragists of 1911 who braved the dusty roads of San Diego back country in an open touring car to stump for the Women's Vote Amendment which passed on October 10th 1911.
This dramatic reading, complete with actors in 1911 clothing was taken from the pages of San Diego history.

PAGE TO STAGE POETRY WORKSHOPS CONTINUE THIS SUNDAY For those who missed the first set of the Women's Performance Poetry workshop, Page to Stage, we will have a new cycle in a condensed 3 day version on Sundays October 23rd, 30th and November 6th @ noon-4pm. We will be doing lots of writing, moving and shaking in more than one sense of the word. This is a great opportunity to find out who you are, gaining courage and stregnth by sharing your words with others. Workshops will be $20 each 4 hour session/per person, or if paid in full $50.00 for all 3 sessions. $10 per session for museum members and students with ID |

CITY HALL RECEPTION AND EXHIBIT OPENING
OCTOBER 24TH AT NOON San Diego City Hall Lobby A Moral Earthquake: The Story of How San Diego Women Fought for the Right to Vote
Join members of the City Council and Women's Museum Board and Staff at noon in the lobby of the San Diego City Hall at 2nd and C as we celebrate the Centennial year for California women earning the right to vote.
This exhibit will be on display at City Hall until November 4th and then move on to schools and libraries around the county.
Refreshments will be served.
